The fans of Star Trek broke the world record in London. They broke the record for the largest gathering of people dressed in clothing from a television series in the convention program, titled
Destination Star Trek, London.
1083 Trekkies, the name for Star Trek fans, gathered at the event held at the ExCel Center, London. That number beats the previous record made in a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas that managed to gather 1040 people.
Achieving that will be inaugurated by the Guinness World Records in the coming days.
The majority of fans of Star Trek, with a Starfleet uniform with some of them dressed Vulcan, Klingon, and Romulan.

Destination Star Trek, in London, is the first Start Trek show in the UK in the past decade. About 17 thousand Trekkies present in London to celebrate the television series that has spawned six television series and 11 feature films.
