Several Species Of Birds That Can Not Fly

Birds are a group of vertebrates that have feathers and wings. The oldest bird fossil found in Germany and is known as Archaeopteryx. The types of birds is very varied, ranging from the tiny hummingbird to the ostrich, which is higher than man. It is estimated there are about 8800-10200 bird species worldwide, approximately 1,500 kinds are found in Indonesia. Various bird species is scientifically classified into the Aves class. All the birds that live in this world is beautiful, but the bird is listed below is even more unique because of its inability to fly:

1. Takahe Bird

These birds are found only in New Zealand. Had considered extinct, but rediscovered near Lake Te Anau in the Murchison mountains.

2. Penguin

A penguin can not fly but it is a very accomplished swimmer as it can flap its arms quickly. This is the type that only live in the southern hemisphere, it's because of the cold temperatures there.

3. Kiwi

This bird is endemic in New Zealand and used as a national symbol

5. Ostrich

This bird is known as "birds unflightless" the biggest and the only living of the family. The ostrich can run as fast as 46 miles per hour and is regarded as the fastest runner bird, in the land.

6. Rhea Birds

This bird is native to South America. It has two species of Darwin's Rhea and Rhea America. These birds reach up to 6 months to become mature but not farmed, until the age of 2 years.

7. Kakapo

If we are going to examine the fossils of Kakapo, across the country New Zealand, it would seem that it is the most common bird. but this bird can not fly.
