Honda Accord Earn Top Safety Ratings

All New Honda Accord successfully achieved the highest level of safety of the Top Safety Pick IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) in all sectors of the tests conducted by the IIHS.

All New Honda Accord has a good level of safety in terms of restraints and kinematics, as well as protection for the Head & Neck, Chest, Hip & Thigh, Lower Leg & Foot.

Thus the all-new Honda Accord has a safety standard no doubt. All New Honda Accord has a variety of safety features ranging from safety features of active and passive safety features as well.

For active safety features, all-new Honda Accord has features such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Vehicle Stability asssist (VSA) with Traction Control, ABS + EBD + BA, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TMPS), and Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

As for passive safety features, all-new Honda Accord has features like Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE), Dual-Stage, Multiple-Treshlod Front Airbags, Front Side Airbags SmartVent, Side Curtain Airbags with Rollover Sensor, 3-Point Seat Belts with Automatic Tensioning System, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH): Lower Anchors (2nd Row Outboard), Tether Anchors (2nd Row All), Driver's and Front Passengers Reminder seatbelt, and Child-Proof Rear Door Locks.

All New Honda Accord Concept was first introduced at the event North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 11, 2012 and at Detroit, USA. American Honda then officially introduced the all-new Honda Accord to the public on September 19, 2012.

All New Honda Accord to be one of the 18 cars tested by IIHS in late 2012. Each year IIHS has always conducted research to test the safety of a new car.

IIHS itself an independent agency tasked to examine and test every product from the worst effects of such damage, injury, even death.

For the category of four-wheeled vehicles (cars) in particular, the IIHS also analyzed the level of road accidents in the city and highway.
